Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance Featured Dancer:
Sarah Brewer
Three years ago, I transitioned from another studio to MSBMD, and have loved being here ever since. The instructors provide professional-level training, where each student gets personal attention to improve. I know my technique has improved in leaps and bounds in such a short period of time. In addition, my dance-mates are like my sisters and brothers in one huge family with a common love—expressing feelings through movement. Even the hour’s drive to the studio is well worth the training, encouragement, and love of dance I get there. Without MSBMD, I know exactly where I would be-nowhere. I would have no passion for dance, no technique, and certainly no drive to continue to work on improving my dancing. Although I’ve been dancing since I was three at a couple different studios, I’ve never loved a studio and the people in it as much as I love MDBMD.

I have loved coming to class ever since I was 3. MSBMD has made me a great dancer and I am still improving as I am eleven years old now. Without this opportunity and experience I wouldn't be as confident as I am now. I have created strong friendships with my classmates and my amazing instructors. Performing at Cecil College is the best part. Every show keeps getting better and better and we have so much fun. I can't imagine my life without my ability to dance and my time at the studio. I trust all of my teachers and I am extremely thankful to them. MSBMD is the best!

“I don’t know where I would be without the training I have received from the amazing teachers at the Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance. I started at MSBMD when I was six years old and I still have that same love and passion from when I first walked through that door. Dance is the most important thing in my life thanks to MSBMD. The teachers are amazing and I feel my technique improves in every class I take. MSBMD has given me the chance to take master classes from professional dancers and choreographers, travel to New York, and take a class taught by Evan Kasprzak from So You Think You Can Dance. I am proud to be a student from Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance and I am grateful for the amazing teachers, life-long friends, and the dancer I continue to become. Thank You MSBMD.” |

"There are too many reasons to why I love Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance, but to sum it up in one word, RESULTS. Not only has my love for dance rocketed up and away since I began to take classes at the school, but so have my legs! If you are looking to improve technique, enhance individuality, and advance your passion for dance, MSBMD is the perfect place to achieve all of these goals. I have danced at MSBMD for just under one year now and the progress is beyond what I had ever imagined. I am so grateful to have gotten so close with my teachers because being able to relate to a teacher and communicate with them makes the dancing flow so much better because you are comfortable. It is an honor to be a student at Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance." |

"I choose Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance because of their dedication. The highly respected staff truly cares about our advancement and progress. They really take the time out of their busy day to make things better for us. This time could have been spent with their family, however when you join MSBMD you become a family. I'm happy to say that my studio is unique in the way they treat children. No one is the "favorite" and everyone gets a fair and square chance. Each student is given individual attention! I personally love and look forward to getting corrections from my teachers. I learned that constructive criticism should never be your enemy. I am proud to say MSBMD is my studio ! "

The teachers, who are well-known and loved in the dance field, provide dancers with a personal preparatory experience for further college study. MSBMD has given me amazing opportunities for master classes with nationally-recognized professional dancers and choreographers, personal opportunities for teaching and choreographing, and major dance performances, including The Nutcracker at Cecil College. I have trained at MSBMD since I was five years old, and I can say with confidence that I have become the passionate and successful dancer that I am because of the Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance.
